Cancellation and refunds
This page explains how paying for OpenGrant works, how to cancel and what happens to money already paid. It sits alongside the terms of service.
Price and billing
Full access costs £29 a month for each email address, charged in pounds sterling. You pay on a checkout page hosted by Stripe after you sign in with an email link; OpenGrant does not see or store your card details. The subscription renews every month until you cancel it. Free trial
If you have not subscribed before, your subscription starts with a three day free trial. You add a payment method at checkout, and the first £29 charge is taken when the trial ends, on day four. If you have subscribed before, there is no new trial and the first charge is taken at checkout.
How to cancel
Sign in, open your account and choose Cancel subscription. There are two options, and cancellation takes effect as soon as you choose one:
- Cancel at trial end or period end keeps full access until the end of your trial or the month you have paid for. No further charge is taken. If you choose this during the trial, you are not charged at all.
- Cancel now ends full access immediately. No further charge is taken.
Manage billing on the same page opens Stripe's billing portal for your payment details. [FOUNDER: confirm what your Stripe customer portal lets subscribers do, for example update their card, see invoices or cancel there.]
Refunds
Cancelling does not refund a charge automatically. If you choose Cancel now part way through a paid month, the rest of that month is not refunded by the cancellation itself. Failed payments
If a monthly payment fails, full access stops until the payment goes through. Stripe handles the payment and any retry.
