To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the parish of Braunton and the village of wrafton (hereinafter called the area of benefit) and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing: 1) for the advancement of education. 2) for the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of persons in the community who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances or who are women. 3) the protection of health. 4) the relief of poverty, distress and sickness.
