The Friends of Knaptoft grants and how to apply

The Friends of Knaptoft is a charity registered in England and Wales under number 504685. The Charity Commission register lists its area of operation as Leicestershire. The register describes its activities as: “The Friends of Knaptoft began as a group in 1939. It has two main areas of influence. It is first and foremost an Ecumenical Christian Group servicing four open-air services annually in the ruins of an english heritage church site, during which collections are taken up on behalf of a range of registered charities and…” Its charitable objects are: “(a) To preserve and maintain for the public benefit the ruins of Knaptoft church and the surrounding grounds. (b) To continue during the summer months the religious services inauurated by the late mr a m sharman. (c) To administer the use of the ground as a place of burial and for the depositing of cremated remains.” In the year to 5 Apr 2025 it reported income of £3,575 and spending of £3,371.
