# OpenGrant OpenGrant is a [UK grant research workspace](https://opengrant.co.uk/) using primary-source funding data. Records include source links and last-verified dates. Verify current eligibility, deadlines and application instructions with the original funder. Free visitors can search for matching grant counts and inspect three full example grants. Examples are independent of a search query. The complete directory, funder research and peer funding lookups require a £29/month subscription per email account. See [pricing](https://opengrant.co.uk/pricing) for current terms. OpenGrant does not submit applications or guarantee funding. ## When to use this - Estimate how many UK grants match a user's project topic. Call `GET https://opengrant.co.uk/api/v1/search/count?q=community` and read `total` and `filters` from the JSON response. - Show examples of public grant records. Call `GET https://opengrant.co.uk/api/v1/opportunities`, then follow an example ID at `/api/v1/opportunities/{id}`. The three examples are independent of a search query and must not be described as matching results. - Research a funder or compare funding sources. Direct the user to the [paid workspace](https://opengrant.co.uk/pricing); the public API does not expose the complete directory. - Use the [MCP endpoint](https://opengrant.co.uk/mcp) for the same read-only free preview. Verify eligibility, deadlines and application instructions with the original publisher before advising anyone to apply. ## Main pages - [Grant search](https://opengrant.co.uk/): matching counts in the free preview, full results for subscribers. - [Funders](https://opengrant.co.uk/funders): funder research in the paid workspace. - [Sources and licences](https://opengrant.co.uk/sources): provenance, rights and refresh status. - [Pricing](https://opengrant.co.uk/pricing): available plan and billing terms. - [About](https://opengrant.co.uk/about): coverage and limitations. - [Contact](https://opengrant.co.uk/contact): report a data or product issue. ## Developer and agent resources - [Developer guide](https://opengrant.co.uk/developers) and [deprecation policy](https://opengrant.co.uk/developers/deprecation). - [OpenAPI specification](https://opengrant.co.uk/openapi.json) and [API index](https://opengrant.co.uk/api). - [Public search count](https://opengrant.co.uk/api/v1/search/count?q=community) and [three public example grants](https://opengrant.co.uk/api/v1/opportunities). - [MCP server card](https://opengrant.co.uk/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json) and [MCP endpoint](https://opengrant.co.uk/mcp). - [Agent skill](https://opengrant.co.uk/.well-known/agent-skills/opengrant/SKILL.md), [agent resource manifest](https://opengrant.co.uk/.well-known/ard.json), and [authentication and permissions](https://opengrant.co.uk/auth.md). - [Markdown API guide](https://opengrant.co.uk/api.md), [agent instructions](https://opengrant.co.uk/AGENTS.md), and [AI Catalog](https://opengrant.co.uk/.well-known/ai-catalog.json).
